Richard Chase

Is Richard Chace living proof that you can be born with mental characteristics that incresae the odds of you becoming a serial killer.  At an early age Richard Chase had three distinct characters that tend to lead to serial killing.  He loved to set fires, torture and kill animals and was a bed wetter beyond a normal age. As chase grew older his problems did not get any better; he started using drugs and behavior grew out of control. He started to become paranoid and suffer from schizophrenia where then his life would drastically spin out of control.

  Chase is one of the most interesting serial killers I have read about. He seeked help a few times and was released, at one point he even was living by himself.  Chase first started by killing animals to obtain there organs and blood by ingesting it.  He thought that is blood was going to turn into powder that will poison him.  His theory was that if there was scum under your soap dish then you were under attack by the nazi-germans. Chase would walk down streets and try and enter homes through the front doors, he believed if it was locked then he was not welcome.  He did this repeatedly until he found an open door.  He committed his first murder when he killed a 51 yr. old man, this murder only lead to more murders.  The last murder he committed was the most gruesome in the six people he killed.  

Chase was a serial killer that was truly mentally ill.  He was said to have an IQ of 80 and was diagnosed with schizophrenia.  He was insane starting from birth.  I don't understand why he was not put into a psychiatric warden where he would be observed closer.  I don't believe these murders should of happened i was not right from an early age.
